Project Description

This pavilion, located at the Fort Worth Zoo, was designed to handle large gatherings within an outdoor space, yet providing protection from the elements.

Although new construction, the pavilion integrated the rear stone wall of a previous zoo building into the design.  New stone columns were constructed to match the rear wall on the front and sides of the structure.

The pavilion features glu-lam trusses and wood deck with a column free interior. Accessible restrooms were also included in the project.  Heavy native landscaping was used to provide privacy for meetings.
