Project Description

This project converted an existing fast food restaurant into a branch office for OmniAmerican Credit Union. Utilizing the existing property and its inherent constraints a cohesive package of building, drive thru, and landscape was created. Design clues were taken from local historic buildings to produce a commercial structure that is well integrated with its context. The site was designed to promote a logical vehicular flow without compromising its frontage along U.S. Highway 67.

This is one of several branches created for a single client. Many of the major design elements are carried from one site to another in order to foster a brand recognition. While some elements are replicated, each building retains its own distinct identity and character. This credit union contains: one commercial and three retail drive thru lanes, one drive thru ATM, safe deposit vaults, seven teller stations, child friendly lobby, employee break area, and assorted support offices. The entire site and facility were designed to be completely handicapped accessible.
