NTAMG provides administrative support and billing services for the doctors that staff John Peter Smith Hospital. This association required a location in close proximity to the hospital. H•D assisted the owners in determining how much land would be required for the project and then performed several land use studies as various sites were considered.

The site selected is adjacent to and immediately north of the hospital complex in an old residential neighborhood. In an effort to be sensitive to the residential character of the area, the building’s orientation, landscaping, exterior detailing and finishes were considered as the design developed. The parking lots were configured to save several large trees.

The plan has a central prominent entry that allows access to the two main areas of the building: administration to the north and accounting to the south. Common use spaces are shared between the two areas. Each area has separate employee entries and parking lots.
