Project Description

This project remodeled an existing 1952 two-story classroom building and added a new two-story classroom wing.

Work in the existing building converted the auditorium to a band room, and the cafeteria to an art room. The remainder of the work upgraded the entrances, doorways and restrooms to meet current handicap accessibility standards.

The addition was designed to allow the existing facility to remain functional during construction. The campus entry was reoriented to the opposite side of the site. This allowed access from a larger thoroughfare to relieve morning and afternoon traffic congestion.

The addition contained 21 classrooms (including four computer labs and four science rooms), a library, a gymnatorium, a cafeteria, kitchen, and administrative offices.
