Project Description

The scope of work included remodeling 8,700 s.f. of the existing 1966 building, adding a new wing with sixteen classrooms, and expanding the cafetorium. The area of the new construction was approximately 18,000 square feet.

The renovation to the existing portion of the building enlarged the library, art room, music room, and  computer room. It also enlarged the clinic, provided an access-ible clinic toilet room, and made the administration area more efficient.  The existing restrooms serving the remodeled areas were modified for accessibility.

The new classroom wing provided additional classroom space with two of the classrooms doubling as science rooms.  Two sets of accessible restrooms were provided to serve the new wing.  This new wing was constructed at the site of an old playground that was shared with the City of Fort Worth Park and Recreation Department.  A new, fully accessible playground was constructed in the park area of the site to replace the one that was demolished for the new construction.
